Driver Deactivation Policy
Platform Access Standards
Mirrors the in-app Driver Deactivation Policy. Your acceptance history in the Reroute app is authoritative.
Reroute Technologies LLC is a technology company operating a software platform that connects customers with independent contractor drivers. We provide matching, communication, payment, and compliance tools. We do not perform deliveries, employ drivers, or act as a carrier, insurer, or bailee of items moved through the Platform. Access to driver features is a privilege, not a right. This policy describes when Reroute may suspend or deactivate Platform access. Reroute is not liable for lost earnings, opportunities, or goodwill resulting from deactivation except as required by law.
1. Right to Deactivate
Reroute may suspend or deactivate driver access at any time, with or without prior notice except where law requires notice.
- Violation of the Driver Platform Agreement, Terms, Privacy Policy, or Platform policies.
- Fraud, theft, misrepresentation, or safety concerns.
- Customer, retailer, or partner complaints; low ratings; repeated Service Failures.
- Insurance, license, or registration lapse; invalid or falsified proof of delivery.
- Negligent handling causing loss or damage; refusal to cooperate with investigations.
- Background-check or identity-verification failures.
- Business or operational need (market conditions, demand, compliance).
2. Notice Where Required by Law
In jurisdictions requiring advance notice or records access (e.g., Seattle, California, Colorado, New York City), we provide required written notice and response opportunities before final decisions where mandated.
3. Appeal and Challenge
Submit a written challenge with supporting information within 30 days of deactivation (or longer where required, e.g., 90 days in Seattle). We review and respond within a reasonable period. Outcomes may include reinstatement, upholding deactivation, or other resolution. Local law controls where it requires specific processes.
4. Temporary Suspension
We may suspend access during investigations of safety, fraud, or compliance without prior notice where necessary to protect customers, the public, or the Platform.
5. No Guarantee of Access or Earnings
Platform access is not a contract of continued work or guaranteed earnings. Except where required by law, we are not obligated to provide reasons, notice, or appeal rights. Deactivation does not make Reroute your employer or create employment-related obligations.
6. Offsets and Remedies
Deactivation does not waive Reroute’s right to collect offsets, Service Failure amounts, cash shortages, or other amounts owed under the Driver Platform Agreement.
7. State and Local Addenda
In Seattle, Colorado, California, NYC, Massachusetts, New York State, and other jurisdictions with specific deactivation requirements, we comply with applicable law and any in-app State and Local Addenda. Mandatory local law controls for drivers in that jurisdiction.
